Following the success of the Lagos Grill and BBQ Festival which held on Easter Sunday, the 5th of April 2015, The Grind Company presents the Abuja Grill & BBQ Festival. The Festival which is set to hold in October will be the first of its kind in Abuja. The event will feature various Grill and BBQ joints across Abuja, and selected grill joints from Lagos. Attendees include A-list celebrities, Media Personalities and much more.

The Lagos Edition was a pace-setter, a first-of-its kind, with Grill and BBQ Vendor stands that  provided a wide variety of BBQ recipes in which attendees we eager to taste, there were media personalities and A-list celebrities. Music headliners included Falz thebahdguy, Skales and Guest DJ, DJ Humility. The event was a laid-back, summer-type event, with the ooze of crisp barbecue in the air, there were side attractions like Recreation games, Funfair for kids, A Master Class by Chef Fregz and many more. The event held at Muri Okunola Park, V.I, Lagos, which was a perfect venue. The park was designed authentically. They were gazebos, Canopies for the Vendors, Table Tennis boards, and Fun fair for kids. The Guests came dressed appropriately as they were street-style, summer-ready fashion ensembles bringing the effect of a western-style festival to life whilst still keeping it original and fresh in the Nigerian way. The guests were not disappointed either as they were thrilled by outstanding performances from the host Comedian/Singer Falz aka thebahdguy who kept the ladies laughing through the night, and killing it finally with his hit single “Ello bae”. There were side-attractions from Dancers, Comedians, and stunts-men. Skales closed the show with performances of his hit singles. DJ Humility kicked off the after party, and led the dance into the night.

The ABUJA GRILL AND BBQ FESTIVAL is set to raise the bar, and set higher standards than the Lagos Edition. Coming this October, the Festival is set to bring the best Grill and BBQ vendors in Abuja, over 10 music Artistes, with notable headliners, the festival will be a fusion of Western style Grill Festivals and Original Nigerian Grill Recipes. The Abuja Edition is set to be the real deal, a polished, fine-tuned version of the Lagos version, bringing full family entertainment. Guests can expect a fun-filled, high intensity festival experience as there will be a host who will keep the intensity going during intervals. According to the Chief Coordinator of both the Lagos and Abuja festivals, Mr Francis Ebie, “this is an event that you definitely won't want to miss. If you heard of the Lagos Edition that was just a teaser....”
